Some patients seem quite anxious and fearful when facing dental treatment. We completely understand and want to help as much as possible. For this reason we offer one of the mildest and safest types of dental sedation: nitrous oxide (also known as Laughing Gas).
Nitrous oxide makes a patient feel very relaxed – sometimes sleepy, sometimes almost euphoric. Unlike oral sedatives, nitrous oxide can be adjusted throughout the procedure and there are no residual effects.
Recovery is quick and patients can go home on their own – without assistance. It is important to point out that nitrous oxide sedation works very well for most but not all people.
